The Trailer Valet treads are slipping on the ground and not gaining traction. What should I do?
Traction issues can be caused by a few reasons, but they all come down to there being inadequate tongue weight on the unit.
A few examples:
Boat with a heavy motor in the rear.
A long swing-tongue frame.
Uneven incline surface.
If you are experiencing any of these and losing traction on your wheels, you can try adding weight to the tongue of your trailer by either shifting load forward or adding additional weight.
If you still are experiencing issues, you may want to consider utilizing a mounting bracket attachment. Mounting to the trailer frame, as opposed to your coupler, allows you to move the unit closer to the trailer's weight to avoid the issue.
