Has there been a change to the Hitch Ball Base / Rotating Coupler?

Yes. Both of these were changed in diameter to allow the XL unit to be used with a jack slotting into the unit's rotating coupler in the place of the hitch ball base.

The inner diameter of the rotating coupler has changed from 1.94" (49.3 mm) to 2.05" (52 mm).

Any units purchased after April 2024 will have the newer version.

  The XL handles this well as you can use the coupler to move the trailer.
